Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do verbal agreements count in Jamaica?

Verbal agreements can be legally binding but are extremely difficult to enforce without written evidence of the terms agreed. We strongly recommend putting all significant agreements in writing.

What should every contract include?

At minimum: the parties, the subject matter, obligations of each party, payment terms, duration, breach provisions, and dispute resolution. We ensure all of these are properly addressed.

Can you review a contract someone else drafted?

Absolutely. We regularly review contracts prepared by the other party before our clients sign — identifying risks, advising on terms, and where appropriate negotiating amendments on your behalf.
